Summer Camp for Very Young Campers! Small Group Size!

Explore the magic of making movies, videos and TV with puppets and live action creative fun! Green screen magic enables camper-powered puppets to appear anywhere – in Outer Space, on the Moon, in front of the Eiffel Tower! Lego animation with stop-motion, and basic animation toys and curiosities. Play with Theremin Sound Effects, early animation devices and more!

A warm and friendly media-savvy and tech-savvy experience for young campers ages 4 – 7. Our youngest campers enjoy their own special place to explore video and animation and technology. The Playhouse offers a more structured set of activities than our regular Media & Tech camp, completely free of online video game play (no Roblox or Minecraft) and providing more intense counselor supervision and support.

Playhouse activities include:

· Green Screen Puppet Theater

· Lego and Stop-Motion Animation

· Claymation

· Flip Books and Praxinoscopes and other Early Animation Devices

· White Board Animation

· Puppet Making

· Theremin Sound Effects

· Fly A Drone!

Campers create skits, make short films and their own live puppet TV shows in the Playhouse! An internet gaming-free environment (no Roblox or Minecraft in the Playhouse). Frequent outdoor recreation breaks, outdoor projects and picnic-style pack your own lunch (Full Day and School Day schedules). Each week is different, for fun the entire summer.
